Babes Who Brunch: Le Sel, Nashville

May 28, 2018

When your best friend lives 2 hours away in music city, daytripping is a must - and often! You'll be seeing a lot more of Nashville on here in the coming weeks. There's so much to see & do there, so I'll be covering some spots in a series of Nash-centered posts.

Today's post is all about the most important meal of the day: brunch! We stopped in at Le Sel to indulge in some good food & of course the all-important photo sesh. Located in midtown, this trendy little restaurant has all the bells & whistles of a totally Instagram-worthy spot: plush pink booths, black & white striped floors, a pink neon "irresistible" sign & the cutest little bar area. The aesthetic was completely my taste, to a T.

So natually, I channeled my inner chameleon & matched my outfit to my surroundings. Without a belt, my dress looked a little too pajama-chic for my liking. Enter Queen B with a random green belt to save the day! It was the only one she had, but I think it totally works! I love pink+green as a color combo. Unfortunately, my dress is last season Forever21, but I've picked out some comparable dresses that are definitely Le Sel inspired pieces.

Looking over the brunch menu, everything sounded fantastic, so we only hoped it tasted as good as Le Sel looked. We kicked things off with cocktails - because did you even really brunch if you didn't indulge in a cocktail or two? While I'm usually a mimosa girl, I opted for something different & ordered the pink gin+tonic. We also got an order of the strawberry & rhubarb beignets to share, which I highly recommend. For my entree, I chose the french toast with vanilla cream & B opted for the avocado toast. Can you tell we love our carbs?

Throughout brunch, we were eyeing the staircase at the back of the restaurant wondering if we were allowed to go explore & see where it lead. It's actually their private party area, but since there weren't any events going on while we were there, the hostess had no problem with us going up & poking around. Pro tip: there's a really cute wall up there, so I had to take a shoefie :)

So next time you're looking for a great brunch spot in Nashville (of which there is no shortage of)), Le Sel is definitely worth a trip.
